GUIDED BY INTUITION. INFORMED BY SCIENCE

Embodiment Therapy

Embodiment Therapy is a holistic approach to emotional and nervous-system regulation. It is a blend of evidence based mindbody techniques and seasoned intuition that involves touch therapy, movement, body awareness, and creative intelligence.

Each session is unique. They change as you change. But you are always deeply heard and felt.

What is Embodiment Therapy?

Embodiment Therapy supports emotions, behavior, and the nervous system simultaneously through structured, gentle practices, some verbal, some visual and somatic.

Embodiment Therapy recognizes that our emotional experience doesn’t live in the mind but in the body. Our body holds protective patterns we’ve learned through adapting to painful situations. In our work together, we take deep breaths, slow down and pay attention to the wisdom inherent within. We co collaborate so that you feel safe, grounded, centered. You will find your balance point, and allignment with your best life.

This is not about forcing change, or trying to fix something. It is about opening to self compassion, and in doing so healing, integration, and stability emerge.

When talking isn’t enough

Many people arrive here after disappointment in traditional talk therapy or medication. The struggle with overwhelm, anxiety, depression, disconnect, loneliness and the looping of repeating patterns. Many struggle with the way trauma has hijacked their happiness.

Embodiment Therapy offers another doorway that leads you to freedom from pain through integration, self regulation and self esteem.

Every session begins
with deep listening

Not only to your words, but to the story beneath.

Your cadence, your tone, your breath… your flow.

Your body speaks.

WHAT IS A SESSION LIKE?

Each session is a calm, supportive space where we work with both your emotions and your nervous system.

Embodiment Therapy sessions combine therapeutic listening, coaching, and somatic work. The balance of these elements depends on your comfort level, your history, and what you need that day.

Some clients begin with more conversation, a safe space to speak openly about what’s happening in their lives and receive thoughtful reflection and guidance. As trust builds, we gradually integrate more body-based work.

Others prefer not to verbalize every detail of their story, particularly those navigating trauma or PTSD. In those cases, we can work more directly with the emotional body through guided somatic practices that help you move through and regulate emotion without needing to relive or explain everything in words. Sessions are adaptive. The structure remains consistent, but the proportions shift based on you.

THE FOUR PHASES OF A SESSION

Most sessions move through four core phases, though the time spent in each varies.

Grounding & Transition

We begin with a short transitional practice to help you shift out of daily stress and into the session. This may include diaphragmatic breathing, grounding exercises, or centering techniques.

This phase helps regulate the nervous system, bring you into the present moment, and establish a contained, intentional space for the work.

Somatic Integration

When appropriate, we incorporate somatic exercises or body-based techniques to help regulate and process emotional experience.

This may take place seated in a chair, on the floor in the movement studio, or at the bodywork table, depending on your comfort and needs. These practices are always trauma-informed and paced carefully.

The focus is not performance or physical exertion. It is awareness, regulation, and integration.

A Note on Touch
Somatic work may include optional, consent-based touch as part of body-oriented techniques. This is always discussed beforehand and only included if it feels appropriate and supportive for you.

Therapeutic Listening

From there, we move into focused, compassionate listening. This is a space of full attention and non-judgment.

You are invited to speak freely, and I listen not only to your words, but to the emotional patterns beneath them. I may reflect themes, offer insight, or help you see connections that bring clarity. This portion may be brief or may take most of the session, depending on what feels supportive that day.

Practical Integration & Closure

As the session comes to a close, we review what surfaced and clarify next steps. You’ll leave with grounded, practical strategies to support self-regulation, emotional management, and continued growth between sessions.

This may include simple practices, reflection tools, or exercises you can work with on your own.

We end with clarity about what we are working toward and what feels most important to focus on next.
